I had a great time at the Winter Quilt Camp last weekend in Alpena despite the cruel joke mother nature decided to pull and a furnace malfunction. The furnace in our barracks decided not to work on the first night. I wore a turtle neck, pj's, my robe and socks to bed and snuggled under my Fireman's quilt, 2 wool blankets and a very large sleeping blanket. My face was the only thing that was cold so I managed to get a few hours of sleep with my face under the covers. Luckily the furnace worked for the remainder of the camp. Also, mother nature decided to dump about 8 inches of snow on us. See all of the snow in the window? Well actually there is a hill there. But we did have lots of snow, wind and cold weather. But, as you can see in the picture there was lots of sewing going on. In the next few posts I will gladly share some of the pictures I took during the show and tell. Don't forget to leave a comment. The contest will continue through this week.

Don't you just love getting away with people who enjoy the same "addiction"?! I always pack way more than I can possibly accomplish --- but I don't want to end up with nothing to do! I enjoyed my experience at the Thumder Bay Retreat --- plan to attend again
